Afrikan American Fairwell Celebration
This ceremony, steeped in tradition and cultural significance, honors the achievements of graduating students and celebrates their transition to the next chapter of their lives. The event is deeply meaningful to the Black Alumni Society as it represents the culmination of years of hard work and dedication for these students, many of whom have benefited from the Society's support & mentorship. As a testament to our commitment to these students, the Black Alumni Society proudly sponsors the kente graduation stoles worn during the ceremony, symbolizing our pride in their accomplishments and our hopes for their bright futures.
Scholarship Golf Outing and Sip+Swing
The OSU Black Alumni Society Scholarship Golf Outing and Sip+Swing is an annual event that brings together alumni, sponsors, students, golf enthusiasts and friends of the university for a day of fun and camaraderie on the golf course. This event is more than just a day of golf; it's an opportunity to network, build community, and invest in the next generation of Buckeye leaders. Participants enjoy a day of fun, competition, and the satisfaction of knowing they are making a tangible difference in the lives of deserving students. The proceeds from the Golf Outing and Sip+Swing directly support our scholarship program, which reduces the financial burden for promising Buckeyes and helps them gain access to transformational opportunities like
study abroad programs
Buckeyes 40 Under 40
The Buckeyes Under 40 Awards directly contribute to the mission of the OSU Black Alumni Society by recognizing and celebrating the achievements of young alumni who exemplify the Society's values of excellence, service, & community. By honoring these outstanding individuals, we inspire others to strive for greatness and contribute to the betterment of the global community. Our organization is committed to celebrating the diversity of our alumni community and recognizing the unique perspectives and experiences that our alumni bring to their fields. This event also serves as a fundraiser for the OSU Black Alumni Society's scholarship fund.
